My search for this ideal situation stalled many times because it seemed to me perhaps too pie in the sky and possible ONLY for other people. A very self-limiting perspective that thankfully I did not accept for long and hope you won’t either.  Thankfully, I never gave up looking for the RIGHT fit. 

My search was also NEVER some attempt to escape working. I was and am a very hard worker and I firmly believe we are all placed here for a reason, endowed with different gifts meant to help each other in this life! We have a obligation to invest and develop those talents and abilities. I also know there is no six figure, or seven figure income that is magically provided without our effort and working smart.  

So when I discovered the world of network and online marketing I fortunately didn’t fall prey to the "get rich quick" type of marketing that is out there, although I had and have every intention of making as much possible. I have turned down opportunities that in retrospect were really decent products with ethical companies because I was repelled by the overly “hype-y” marketing tactics used by some of reps and so gave them a pass. Now, I have learned to evaluate the product and company aside from the distributors' marketing methods, and partner only with those whose perspective on marketing I respect. Efficacy, Integrity and Style determine who I partner with.  The good news is WE get to decide how WE will market and with whom we will partner.

I also truly love network and online marketing because we in this business have the unique privilege of teaching and showing others by example, how to quickly make a direct and better yet a SIGIFICANT PASSIVE income on their own, working from anywhere, which has immeasurably positive benefits for themselves, their families and their communities above and beyond the financial benefits. 

About Argentina

Thanks to the lifestyle online network marketing affords me, I was able to make the move to live in Argentina. After working in Ecuador for a brief stint years ago and returning to Virginia, I knew I wasn’t finished with South America just yet. Because of my love for the Hispanic culture, the beautiful old world architecture and my love of horses, I knew Argentina would not disappoint.

It truly is a beautiful country with sub-tropical climates in the North to the largest Glaciers in the world down south in Tierra Del Fuego where it approaches Antarctica.  Buenos Aires, the capital is considered by some the Paris of South America with its numerous green parks, outdoor cafes, French style architecture and a passion for design. People dance the Tango in the parks or local 'milongas' while enjoying an delicious bottle of Malbec wine and a plateful of the famous Argentine beef. If some fresh air and relaxation is in order a short trip to the country side for a day at an estancia and a gallop with a Gaucho is always reenergizing!

Argentina's other Reality

Now, I want to share the not so nice part of living in Argentina. Argentina used to be one of the richest nations, with Buenos Aires one of the most expensive cities to call home. But due to a government fleecing and a currency devaluation, 40% now live below the povery line.  The middle class to include some doctors, lawyers and other well educated professionals barely get by. In the poorest classes,  I daily see children going from table to table in the cafes selling socks or whatever trinket they can market. School is obviously not in the cards for them. In some cases mother and daughters together sell tiny card with cartoons with some positive message printed on them so they can offer something of value in exchange for a "payment" which is really your donation.  Adults and children work all through the night sifting and sorting the trash to find something of value to resell. It is filthy, back-breaking work that pays little and only offers them money for survival. There is little hope of getting ahead no matter how hard they work and their lack of opportunity and hope is so heart breaking. 

BUT it also motivates me in this industry because I know so many folks in the U.S. and globally are facing serious personal financial crises to include losing their homes, but unlike some of the hard working Argentines I have just described, most Americans do have the basic computer know how and access needed to still make a HUGE difference in their current situation and change it for the better. So its a delight to be involved in an industry that can enable and empower so many. 

HANG IN THERE

YOU AND I are still SO SO BLESSED!  We may currently be in a disagreeable situation with a boss that treats us miserably, or we may be in a pickle of a financial situation because of this "new" economy or we may just desire more free time.   Either way, if we have access to a phone and a computer we can change our circumstances for the better.  I am not saying this work is always easy, learning anything new will be frustrating at times, but when I think about the fact I have to sit down and write a new blog post about last night's product conference call that will work for me on the web 24-7, attracting new visitors and sales VERSUS what I see around me daily on the streets here in Argentina OR even the slavish hours in the corporate world to maintain the six figure and seven figure incomes, it puts my work into perspective and all I am left with is gratitude and enthusiasm for this opportunity.

There are many inspirational stories in this industry of people that started with nothing. Some in really challenging circumstances who have radically transformed not only their lives but the lives of others by teaching and leading!
